The end of the school year approaches, and with that comes the end to my freedom.
Ah, children.
Gotta love them!
The GOOD NEWS is that my kids do have various activities and day camps to keep them out of my hair some of the time.
The BAD NEWS is that it's not away camp. ;)
This means my time to write is very limited, but I have worked out a schedule and a part time babysitter, so I have at least 1 day (my most productive writing day of the week!) where I can hole myself up in my office for a few hours and release the creative energy that builds up when I am not given ample opportunity to use it. Trust me. It ain't pretty.
Plus, you know, being kids, they go to sleep at 9 pm, which gives me the chance to work from then until I pass out - so it'll still be a productive summer. Just not in my usual 8 am to 2 pm capacity, which might take some getting used to.
On the career front, aside from signing with Bree Ogden at D4EO Literary Agency (YAY!), I've been concentrating my efforts on rewrites on The Line, then trying to catch up on laundry, grocery shopping, review requests, guest blog posts, interviews, etc. etc.
It's all good!
I'm hoping to wrap my head around an outline for The Line's sequel, or perhaps more word-count on the Work-In-Progress-Yet-To-Be-Named Supernatural Mystery, which has been collecting cyber dust since things with The Line needed my attention.
Again, it's all good!
I'm plugging away. :)
Wish me luck.
